Founded in 1966 by the generous grace of God and under the authority of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Open Bible Baptist Church (OBBC) was established as a branch of the body of Christ. The church held its first service in a small house at 840 Weeks Street, with just eleven members gathered in a modest, unaltered living space, an early testament to humble beginnings and steadfast faith. Though met with community opposition when applying for a religious use permit, OBBC responded with fervent prayer, trusting God to guide and sustain their mission.
