Lady Sonja G. Braxton
Lady Sonja G. Braxton was born September 21, 1966 in Little Rock, Arkansas, to the proud parents of the late Walter Hugh Drane and the late Loretta Kelly Drane. Lady Braxton moved to California when she was 8 years old, and received the Lord Jesus Christ at a young age. She attended Mission College in Santa Clara, CA. She rededicated her life to Christ in 1988, and has been a faithful servant of the Lord ever since.
Lady Braxton met her soulmate, Pastor Karon L. Braxton, at a skating rink called "Skate Town" located in San Jose, CA during her Jr. High School days. She walks alongside her skating partner, a.k.a. husband, now for 35 years. They celebrated their union as husband and wife on November 11, 1990. Lady Braxton works efficiently to help manage the church's business, and is willing to assist in any capacity. She exemplifies a faithful servant to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She is down to earth, jovial, and a balanced woman of God. No task is too small for Lady Braxton, rather it is cleaning the church, showing hospitality to members, guests, and strangers, making a warm cup of Honey & Ginger tea for someone in need, helping the trustee board with church finances, anything her hands can do she does it unto the name of the Lord, according to Colossians 3:23.

Lady Braxton has been working at Avent Incorporated, as a Programming/Technical Support representative, for over 38 years and by her great works has been promoted as Manager. She is also a secret and very talented beautician, and has been for many years. However, her work does not stop there. As she walks in the wisdom and favor of God, the ability to multitask in several capacities is a great asset to the ministry. Many in the church have recognized her commitment to excellence as we witness her mentoring the young women, and women of the church. She teaches children's Sunday school class, and is the director and choreographer of "Rising with Praise" Praise Dance Ministry. She is one of Open Bible’s praise and worship leaders as well as sings in the Mass Choir as a soprano and alto. She also sings with the praise team. God has also anointed her to be an intercessory prayer warrior. Lady Braxton waits on God in everything she does and lives her life according to her favorite scripture Psalms 31:1, "In thee, O Lord, do I put my trust; let me never be ashamed: deliver me in thy righteousness."
She takes joy and delight in the family God has blessed her with and she looks forward to spending quality time with her husband, Karon L. Braxton, and two sons, Eric T. Braxton and Darius L. Braxton; as they are valuable blessings in her life that she treasures. Lady Braxton is a genuine example of Proverbs 31. She truly is a virtuous woman; her worth is far above rubies.
