Pastor Karon L. Braxton
Rev. Karon L. Braxton was born in Birmingham, Alabama on September 1, 1965. At the age of three the Lord brought him, from his birthplace and among his kindred, to reside in East Palo Alto, California. As a resident of East Palo Alto, California Rev. Braxton became a member of The House of Prayer Missionary Baptist Church. It was here that young Karon was baptized in the name of the Father, Son, and the Holy Ghost and a prophetic word was delivered to him regarding the steps God would order for his life.
God revealed and Rev. Braxton received his calling to the Gospel Ministry in 1991. He surrendered to the call and was licensed to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ. As Rev. Braxton spiritually matured in the grace and knowledge of our Lord he received his ordination January 9, 1993.

God's ministry has given him the privilege to baptize, preach, teach and counsel many by the mercy and grace of God. The Lord graced him to pastor the Rising Star Missionary Baptist Church in East Palo Alto, California for nineteen years. The Lord then led the ministry to merge with the Open Bible Baptist Church, where he has been the overseer for four years. In addition, his ministry branches out to the sick, homeless, incarcerated, elderly, youth and all in need of God's Unfailing Love and Life changing Power. Rev. Braxton truly believes only what you do for Christ will last and therefore, do for the least as unto the Lord.
